it depends on what you want. the village is just a few condo or the lodge. the lodge has wonderful ammenities for the children. there is bowling, swimming, pizza and busses that take you to the 2 mountains.

in the town of ketchum is the real town. sun valley is just the lodge, condos, and shops.

ketchum has all the really good restuarants, shops and is the main town. a very safe place for children , as well.

let me know more of what you are interested in and i can help. we have great bus system, free, that takes you all over. sun valley is less than a mile of great path to ketchum, which is closer to the big mountain. dollar mountain is the small beginner mountain and baldy is the more advanced.
