Hi:
I have 3 boys (11 years old) who have never been skiing and dh and I are looking to take a ski vacation next year. (Neither DH or I have much experience beyond skiing in WI...we are from Chicago). I am completely undecided on where to go, but was looking at the Sun Valley website and it seems really appealing.
Does anyone have an opinion on their ski school, etc? My boys are not super coordinated, but love outdoor sports, especially in winter (ice skating, sledding, etc). We would probably go sometime in January.
Also, does anyone know if you book a condo through their central reservations do you have access to the heated pools at the Inn or Lodge? We would probably need the extra room of a condo, but for sure would want access to the pool.
Thanks in advance,
kelly
sun valley good for newbies?

Sun Valley is great but a little pricey for new skiers.
Also lodging is beautiful but fills up quickly. You have access to everything. I needed to stay in Elkhorn Village which was very reasonably pricey and clean. I have been to their ice skating lessons and they are great for new people as well.
Hope this helps.

yes, if you book a condo thru SV, you can use all the facilities. they even have a 4 lane bowling alley, with bumpers on the sides (love that), down in the basement.
The Ski School is wonderful. My friends work there and i have seen the way they work. Also, grandkids have taken there. Don%26#39;t know what DH is Downhill? But what is WI??
January is tipically the coldest month, but after living here for 30 years,,,,you never know. I Think this would be a great places for the boys and you. Safe, great bus system and all...enjoy
Thanks so much for both of your replies. I am still doing a lot of research, but this inpur really helps. (Oops and sorry for the abbreviations...DH is ';dear husband'; and WI is ';Wisconsin';)
Thanks again,
kelly
