Thanks for the input we received before our trip! Had a great time during our short stay. Idaho is a beautiful state. Took the scenic route to Sun Valley, through the Boise National Forest to Stanley.84to 21 to 75 and back 20 to 84 great route much more scenic then the strait run to Sun Valley. The Forest and Sawtooth were beautiful, had a bit of snow during the drive which only added to the adventure.Had lunch at the Restaurant on the corner in Stanley very reasonable great lunch. Its amazing how the snow seems to accumulate more on the hair pin turns. Heard elk buggling while at Redfish lake but never actually saw one.Sure they were still underground since the season had one more day. Stayed one night at the Sun Valley Resort, so thankful for offseason rates. My daughter loved swimming when the temperture was 22 degrees. The bowling alley was a big hit as well. What an awesome view as the steam rose and the frost was glistening on the trees. So glad we had the place to ourselves. Great resort not to impressed with the food at Gretchens (onsite), overpriced and overcooked.
Went and explored Bruneau Sand Dunes another beautiful spot unfortunatly the weather was not to cooperative during this visit, the sand a wind must have done wonders for a fresh clean skin abrasion nature style. Had to postpone exploring the rest of the area for another time. Grat place to explore. My daughter loved it.
One request to any airline willing to add to thier client base. Please, please get a nonstop going from New York to Boise. Be the first to jump on this up and coming area. It%26#39;s much needed for sanity sake!!!! Also will allow for families to see each oher more often.
Will post pictures soon. Thanks again for the tips they were greatly appreciated..
