We%26#39;d like good restaurant suggestions - budget to high-end. We%26#39;re staying at the Lodge, but I%26#39;ve heard the dining room there is very stuffy. Also heard about the sleigh ride restaurant - any ideas?
Sun Valley Restaurants?
Don%26#39;t know if you%26#39;ve already taken your trip.
Is the Sawtooth Club still there? If so, the salmon was always excellent. But could never figure out why they charged extra for the baked potato -- it%26#39;s IDAHO, for crying out loud!
Sun Valley Restaurants?
Go into Ketchum and eat at the Pioneer....it%26#39;s informal with WONDERFUL food!
I seldom get to SV without kids in tow, but I%26#39;ve heard the Evergreen is good, also Christina%26#39;s. Smoky Mountain Pizza has great homemade pasta as well as good pizza and salads. It%26#39;s a chain of five restaurants in Idaho. There is a tiny, informal fresh seafood restaurant in Bellevue which is good. I don%26#39;t remember the name of it, but it%26#39;s two last names like Suchandsuch and Suchandsuch. It has has a limited menu, but offers some exceptional choices. The Kneadery is good for breakfast.
If you are looking for good restaurants in sun valley search Ketchum Idaho to find the best ones. For those who don%26#39;t know...ketchum is the real business center of the wood river valley...Another reply recommended Evergreen they have closed. We like Sushi on 2nd, Deperados, Felix and the Ketchum Grill.... never had a bad meal at any of those palces and they are all downton Ketchum...Sliegh Ride is fun and so is dinner at Galena Lodge if you happen to be there on a night they are serving. Hailey Idaho 12 miles south has CK%26#39;s it%26#39;s worth the dirve if everything in the north valley is full.
Dont miss Mama Ynez Restaurant and Bar in Bellevue just south of Ketchum on the main drag. Duane and DeIda Runswick are the chef and proprietors. Duane was assist chef at Felix in Ketchum and personal chef to Marielle Hemmingway.
also if the Warm Springs Restaurant is still open it is a great place.
there is a New Orleans style restaurant in Hailey on the main drag that was to die for. can%26#39;t remember the name but locals will know the spot.
