I may not be as seasoned as some of you travellers, readers and posters. I%26#39;ve never been around the world. What I have done is roadtripped thru much of Canada and the US. So, in that context...I%26#39;ve been to lots of places. One place I absolutely loved is Boise, Idaho. Maybe much of it is intangible, a vibe kinda thing for me. Maybe the air? The water? The Mountain Time Zone always works for to me. Whatever it is, I always feel excellent in Boise.
One of my favorite travelling memories is riding the Boise Tour Train with our kids... and my mother-in-law, of all people. Julia Davis park, downtown, all over. It even went by this goofy biker bar we were in our previous time in Boise, the Cactus Bar.
I%26#39;ll never forget having everyone wave at us on the train. Everyone waved. Even the ';bums'; urban camping down by the river played ambassador and waved warmly to my kids. It was nuts. Nice but nuts.
So I%26#39;ve been lucky enough to travel around quite a bit. Having children hasn%26#39;t stopped us either. Luckily our kids are good (excellent, actually) roadtrippers. Boise is a place we%26#39;ll all recall fondly.
Boise...Vibe?
I agree. We just spend the night, like we do often, and had such a wonderful time. We had dinner at the Red Feather, that we just LOVE, and got to spend time downtown. Love it. enjoy
