okay, we have been doing a little more looking....whatcha got to say about caldwell. I love that it is a smaller town, but close enough to what the city has to offer. any input?
caldwell/nampa area
HI
nampa caldwell is a bedroom community of Boise
real estate is cheaper there but you have to commute for work
and everyday the traffic gets worse and more congested.
they are more problems dealing with the rapid growth.
and crime is higher there more lower income residents.
you can%26#39;t compare twin falls with Caldwell two entirely different type of citys
twin falls is a city by itself standing on it%26#39;s own
while Caldwell is part of Boise%26#39;s Metro area.
what are you looking for?
caldwell/nampa area
We are looking for a small town feel with big town ammenities. We have a young family so schools and jobs are important. My husband is in construction but will also be going back to school. Southern idaho is our chosen location due to being a central location from all our families. We are not interested in living in the center of boise though.
We will be traveling oregon and washington frequently. We want to live where the cost of living is not too high like in Bend Oregon....housing is high. Does this help, we have not yet been able to visit the areas, and i am not sure as to whether we will or not before its time to go.
We are originally from the northwest, (wash/oregon) and are wanting to come back, however, we are not looking to live back in those states. We love the beauty of the Northwest and all it has to offer. We love cam ping, hiking, boating etc.
Thanks again for the imput, it is appreciated.
HI
Nampa Caldwell might be fine for you.
there are some real nice parts of town and you can get acreage
also.
if you want to be a little further from Boise there are lots of little rural towns about 1 hr drive.
you might want to check out Emmet it is a nice town on the payette river only 30 to 45 mins from Boise.
good luck.
