Actually we are leaving the Michigan area on the 19th and should arrive in Twin Falls around the 22nd. We have 2 little ones ages 2 and 3 and are moving in the Southern Part of the county off Washington on Pheasant - can anyone tell me what school district this is in and what I have to look forward to when we get there?

Tags, you%26#39;re in the Oregon Trail Elementary district over there. I%26#39;m on the other side of town so I haven%26#39;t had any experience with Oregon Trail. That side of town is growing (as is all of Twin Falls.) You%26#39;ll have a bit of a drive to get to stores until the new Swensen%26#39;s opens. It%26#39;s under construction right now.
Weather has been COLD here, much colder than average... probably won%26#39;t be a problem for Michiganders though. :) We don%26#39;t get a lot of snow here.
Our gas prices are the third highest in the nation. Just giving you a heads up so you won%26#39;t be shocked.
Do you have any specific questions? Don%26#39;t hesitate to ask, Janel and I keep an eye on this forum.
Welcome to our city!

you may already be in Twin Falls once you get this. Twin Falls is a good place for families. I have a 3 year old. There is a Head Start on Falls Avenue. There are also great dance (I recommend Mauldins) classes and gymnastic classes for kids the age of your little ones. The YMCA runs the city pool and it has open swin daily from 6:00pm til 8:00pm and its rarely crowded in the winter. The area you are moving to is really growing. I have only really heard good things about Oregon Trail school, but I live across town. There are quite a few city parks, we really like the one right next to the College of Southern Idaho. It is great to take kids to watch base-jumping in the warmer months. We have the only bridge in the US that is legal to jump off of 365 days a year. My daughter loves to see it. I hope she never decides to do it herself. In the summer it is alot of fun to go to Shoshone falls and Derkes Lakes ( I would never let anyone swim there as I had a friend who%26#39;s son died from some bacteria he picked up in the Lake) to hike and hang out. There are a lot of peaceful places in the Snake River Canyon to enjoy the outdoors. We do a lot of camping and hiking in the summer months in the sawtooth national forrest north of Hailey. It is a bit of a drive, but well worth it.
It is a little tough to get keyed into this community as it is fairly closed from my experience. The population has been growing so fast that a large percentage of the population are new to the area.
Hagerman and Hailey are both fun day trips from here.
Good Luck and Welcome to Twin
