Day trips around McCall

We are going at the end of may and are looking for day trips around the area . Any sugestions? We will water river rafting, hike, Hell Canyon...

Santanesia, If you are coming to Idaho esp McCall esp in the Spring, you will not be disappointed.

The McCall area has so much to offer regardless your finances.

If you want to %26#39;rough it%26#39; a little more, then Warm Lake Lodge(25 miles outside of Cascade, ID) is your place for adventure.

I can have accomadations as basic as a roof and a bed with water and toilet just down the path outside. Or your can have all the usual amenities of any hotel.

For those who want to try their hands at white water, the novices have reported they enjoyed Cascade Raft Company just outside Horseshoebend, Idaho( about 40 miles north of Boise Idaho)

For those who really want to go into the back country, idafloat.com or riverguide.com will have a good starting poiint for those die-hard folks who want the trip of their lives.

(Please remember that most of Idaho is VERY rural and if advance medical care is ever needed, most people wait at least 30 mins to 1 hour for a helicopter or fixed wing to rescue them if the weather allows.)

We will be staying at The Aspen Village ( it is part of our timeshare deal).

We love the outdoors (kayaking, hiking) , scenery, wildlife and just plain peace.We live in South Florida where everything is flat (swamps). We are in our early 50s and like to play %26#39;safe%26#39;.

I will look in the rafts tours that you mention, we did some in Colorado and probabilly want something more calm( hubby fell in the water some years ago so now we don%26#39;t need a lot of exitement).

I will like to go to the Loon Pass (Lewis%26amp;Clark) and I found some beautifull rides.

We will be in Boise for two days also.

Hi, we just came back.

The Aspen was ok, not much of a view but in a great location.

We just loved the area!!! Loved it!!!

We are preparing a trip report but don%26#39;t know if will be ready before we go.

What kind of activities do you like? How old is your daugther?
