Family friendly restaurants in Blaine County?

We%26#39;re coming up for the baseball tournament tomorrrow, staying several days. And what would be a treat for a mother/young daughter dinner? A treat especially for the mother? :-)

Thanks in advance, Charley!

The kids like Rocky Mountain Pizza, that Mexican place in Ketchum. My daughter and I might do the Sunday brunch at the Sun Valley Lodge now that I think of it. I think I%26#39;ve seen Mexican places in Bellevue -- are they authentic? You once mentioned a pizza place you like? Nothing too fancy. They won%26#39;t touch foie gras. I won%26#39;t, either. :-)

Thanks!

I am over Deperados in Ketchum, but , very friendly and very American. We go to Lago Azul in Hailey. THE BEST tacos, ever and i am from southern Cal, where we used to go to Mexico all the time.

It is on Croy or Bullion St. on the west side, one block off main. OR Ricos piizza. I think, for a stuck up foodie, they have the best pizza. I tried the new PI, pizza international in Hailey, and i still think that Ricos is the best. Well, i make the best pizza.Where are you staying? In Hailey, they have such good Thai food and A Taste of Thai, very reasonable and very authentic, as i have been to Thailand 3 times and LOVE that food. enjoy

I haven%26#39;t tried Taste of Thai yet. We have one in Twin Falls, but we%26#39;ve been loyal to Prasai%26#39;s for many years and have trouble breaking away.

Thanks for your suggestions! Lago Azul sounds perfect. We%26#39;ll probably hit Rocky Mountain Pizza a couple of times. I like the springrolls appetizer and the ravioli are fluffy and light.

It says Hailey highs will be only in the 80s this afternoon. Beats our triple digits yesterday. Can%26#39;t wait!

We don%26#39;t have our schedule yet -- that%26#39;s kind of maddening. I only know the fields at the school by the airport. I hope we get news soon. At least, we don%26#39;t have a game today.

We tried Lago Azul. It was so-so. The beef fajita meat was tough, the chile colorado was okay, but we think the sauce is better at Twin%26#39;s own Garibaldi%26#39;s.

We tried Miramar based on one person%26#39;s suggestion. It was terrible. The chile colorado burrito contained fatty meat, the casada burrito was dry and boring. My husband liked the tamale. The waitress didn%26#39;t understand English or Spanish. Left us with very little to say to her! ';Do you have margaritas?'; Answer -- ';I%26#39;ll ask somebody.'; What?!

Da Vinci%26#39;s was so, so, SO good! The bottomless salad was green and fresh, the kids loved the ravioli, and my husband and I had the special that night which was a king salmon with lemon sauce over grilled veggies.

The Sun Valley brunch this morning was amazing. Fresh raw oysters, steamed shrimp, custom order crepes, a wild rice salad, smoked fish, all kinds of fruit. What a treat!

And best of all, our team won the tournament! The Wood River baseball people are so gracious and what a beautiful place to play. We%26#39;ll miss it next year.

Jannel, thanks for the report of the good, the bad, and the beautiful! And congrats to the players on the tournament. Was it any cooler up there?

It was perfect baseball weather. There was even a breeze on Saturday. Friday, the air was so thick with ash that it seemed cloudy. Saturday, it was clear.

Back to Twin Falls heat. Maybe we can sneak back up there in August? :-)

if you come in aug. try a wonderful resturant called cks...it is obviously more expensive than the ones that you choose, but never anything but quality and a foodied experience. enjoy

tooo bad you did%26#39;t try the tacos at lago..
