Is there a great resort in Idaho where one can just plunk down relax and enjoy for a week or so?
Great Resort
HI

Great Resort
I%26#39;m looking for a small, boutique-like resort with great scenery and to escape the blast furnace that is Florida in the summer.
If you want to get away from the heat, Redfish will definitely cool you off. Summer months have very pleasant days rarely getting over 80 degrees and often cooling off to the mid 30%26#39;s at night. I don%26#39;t know if I%26#39;d call it a boutique resort, exactly, but there%26#39;s a beautiful beach with adirondack chairs, crystal clear lakes where you can see all the way to the bottom, majestic mountains, and hiking trails galore. No award-winning restaurants unless you drive south 60 miles to Sun Valley, but the food at Redfish Lake Lodge or in Stanley 7 miles north is decent. It is definitely a place to slow down and enjoy the beauty.
You might also check out the reviews for Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch. It%26#39;s not on the lake, but it is nearby.
darn, i keep writing posts and they get lost!!!
I live in sv and ca%26#39;nt think of another place in the world to live. we have right outside our door, 26 miles of bike path (used to be the rr), fishing, biking, hot springs, good food, rafting any kind of sport.
redfishlake.com
redfish has great cabins and is 1 hour from sv. there are 2 other large lakes near by. in stanley, only dirts roads, with the most awesome views i have ever seen, has meadowcreek spa...meadowcreekinn.com
that is the oldest town around and used to be quite wild in the early days of mine.
rocky mountain ranch is another great spot, very secluded, bring a book or three.
look at sunvalley.com and check out all the area has to offer. warm days and cool nights.
any other help, just ask. enjoy
We attended a convention in Couer d%26#39;Elene (will I ever learn to spell the town?!) and the massive high-rise hotel there on the lake was lovely. We rented a boat, rode around the lake. We even ran into one of the stars of LAPD in the elevator whose name also now escapes me. Dennis something. They have world-class golf, are known world wide for the hole that%26#39;s on it%26#39;s own little island in the lake. You would fly into Spokane, rent a car and drive there.
Things have probably changed since the last time we stayed at Redfish Lake a decade ago. We rented a duplex with a very thin wall between our neighbors and us. They partied into the early morning, must have felt terrible the next day. Also, there was a very busy mouse in our room! We left after one night. By now, those places are probably rented out, anyway.
Good luck!
HI
Just noticed White Tail Resort in McCall is running some special rates
It is an upper scale resort right on the Payette lake
McCall is at 5000 ft so a lot cooler than florida LOL.
Ashey Inn in Cascade is a nice new hotel that has suites more like a big BB. with good rates
Both are on highway 55 about 11/2 to 2 hr from Boise
but on friday add a couple more hr%26#39;s for traffic going up and on sunday comming back down.
