I am planning to head down south to silverwood and if someone would recommend a place to stay and what is other places to do other than silverwood?

My family goes every year. No matter what the hotels tell you, nothing is close. I would recommend something in Post Falls or Courdelain (sp). We stayed at a Red Lion the first year, and have stayed at the RV park ever since. We are campers and it is nice to be able to come and go as you please.

Most people going to Silverwood stay either in the Coeur d%26#39; Alene area or Sandpoint area, Silverwood is about half way in between with no motels/hotels at the park, there is a RV park at the park along with Farragut State Park located about 10 miles away on Pend Oreille Lake. In either Coeur d%26#39; Alene or Sandpoint there are a variety of shopping and sightseeing activities. Here are the websites for the two cities www.coeurdalene.org www.sandpointonline.com What most people come to Coeur d%26#39; Alene or Sandpoint for are the two lakes, beaches and city parks on the lakes. Numerous recommendations for lodging can be found on this web site. Lodging in the downtown of Coeur d%26#39; Alene is fairly limited to the Resort and a few smaller older motels.
