My friend is moving to Sun Valley in August. I live in Las Vegas and want to go visit for a weekend - I noticed all the flights to Sun Valley are almost $500!! That is quite $$ considering the distance..
I guess it is because it%26#39;s a small airport?
Anyway, has anyone done this trip? Would it be best to fly to Boise and then rent a car or take the shuttle (how much is the shuttle)?
I%26#39;m looking to spend $200-$300 on travel..
Thanks,
Sarah

try twin falls, and yes, renting a car is the best way, if nothing else. the shuttle is no existent in the summer. this is such a destination spot and that is why we love it. you can get a cheap car in boise and enjoy

P.S. to Charley%26#39;s post, if you do fly into Boise, take the road less traveled, Highway 20 to Highway 75, for your journey to Sun Valley. On the way back, you might want to take the safe-n-sane freeway route on I-84. The state highways are MUCH more scenic than the freeway.
