Wild Rose Ranch

Has anyone stayed at this resort located at Island Park? The website looks promising but I can%26#39;t find any reviews of the resort anywhere. We%26#39;ve never been to Yellowstone and are traveling with our three children ages 16, 11 %26amp; 9. We%26#39;d also like to stay somewhere that has an indoor pool in case the weather is bad (going the first week of October), so the kids will have something fun to do.

I understand that wild rose ranch has an older section and a new section. They are right on Henry%26#39;s Lake if fishing is in your list of activities. They will be about 30 minutes to the west entrance. Ask about the restaurant or you may be cooking any meals you want there.

The only pool in Island Park is at Sawtelle Mountain Resort. Be sure to ask if the pool is still being heated during that time. They will be about 20 minutes to the west entrance. Also ask about the restaurants in that area and their hours so you don%26#39;t miss meals as there rooms don%26#39;t have kitchens unless you get the great big rooms.

Wild Rose Ranch

We just returned from a weekend at this resort? and were both surprised and disappointed by the facility. There were no cups, glasses, kleenex, hair dryer, radio or clock in the room which was not sound-proof. The room was not clean( cob-webs on the ceiling and dust on the carpeting); the tv received only four channels and we had to purchase an alarm clock to insure that we woke up to catch an early flight(no wake up service provided). We inquired about swimming in the lake and were told that there were leeches near the shore so we chose not to swim. I would recommend that travelers seek accommodations elsewhere.
