Has anyone stayed at The Pines at Island Park? Also, any suggestions for restaurants in the Island Park or West Yellowstone areas? We don%26#39;t need fancy upscale restaurants. Looking for good food, reasonably priced family style meals. I guess the best place to shop for groceries is in Idaho Falls?

Hi, I haven%26#39;t stayed in Island Park so I can%26#39;t answer that question.

We were in West Yellowstone last weekend at ate at Bullwinkle%26#39;s. Their chicken dinner is a great deal and dee-licious! My son said his buffalo burger was great too.

There are a couple of grocery stores in West Yellowstone but we didn%26#39;t go in and check prices. Idaho Falls would probably be more reasonable. We stopped at the Fred Meyer in Idaho Falls on our way back, got gas and snacks, and the prices were good for both.

Thanks for the info. I didn%26#39;t know that there was a Fred Meyers located in Idaho Falls. I saw there was a Walmart Supercenter as well as a Sams Club. I don%26#39;t know what is closer to the airport. I think we will definitely get groceries before we drive up to The Pines and then may use the stores later on in the week for misc. I assume gas prices are close to $4 a gallon. Did you do the IMAX or Museum while in West Yellowstone? Any other suggestions for restaurants? Thanks again.

We paid 3.59 for gas at Fred Meyer but we have the rewards card. It was running 3.79 - 3.89 along the route.

Some people at our hotel recommended the Timberline restaurant, and I heard that the Three Bears was good too.

I haven%26#39;t been to the museum in West Yellowstone but our whole family enjoyed the IMAX. They always play the Yellowstone show, and the others vary. There is one about wolves right now.

You might also want to check out the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery center. They have wolves and bears which can%26#39;t be returned to the wild for various reasons.

Thanks for the info. I am really looking forward to this trip. I haven%26#39;t been up to Yellowstone in over 30 years and my husband has never been there. It will be a wonderful experience no matter what our plans will be. Thanks again.
