Hello,
My fiance and I are planning a trip to coeur d%26#39;alene this weekend and we want cheap accomodation. We%26#39;re a young couple on the tight end of a budget. I have called a few numbers that I found online, one being the bates motel and the other being the Budget saver motel...both are cheap and in our price range but I%26#39;m worried that they%26#39;re going to be super gross and dirty. We dont need anything fancy and want something around $50-$60 per night. Does anyone know anything about these motels and or any others that are cheap? Should I look into a close town instead of actually staying in Coeur D%26#39;Alene?
Cheap AccomodationCan%26#39;t help you out much on the quality of Budget Saver or Bates other than to say they are older motels located on Sherman Avenue which is the main street through town, and before the interstate was built served as the highway through town and the reason for these older motels being built were they are. Unfortunately you will be visiting during high summer tourist season so not sure any of the surrounding towns (Post Falls, Hayden) will offer much in the way of cheaper lodging.
Cheap AccomodationWish I could add anything regarding Bates or Budget Saver, but I haven%26#39;t stayed there, either. The location is good though -- just not sure of the quality of the accomodations.
I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;re already checked the link to the left for Coeur d%26#39;Alene Hotels. The Motel 6 is listed as being in your price range and the location frankly isn%26#39;t as good as the others, but I%26#39;m sure it%26#39;s clean and I have recommended it to people before who haven%26#39;t been disappointed.
As Dave pointed out, the surrounding towns may be booked due to the time of the year, but Post Falls has a few inexpensive motels (try the Riverbend maybe) and it%26#39;s only a 10 minute drive to Coeur d%26#39;Alene (freeway all the way).
Good luck and have a great trip!
