level biking around CDA resort

We%26#39;re staying at CDA Resort Oct 11, 12, %26amp; 13. Would like to bike on level ground? Find the biking web site overwhelming and not particularly helpful to someone who doesn%26#39;t know the area. Is there a path around the lake that we can just step out of our rooms and get onto reasonably. What other bike trails are accessible in the CDA resort area? Thanks.

If you are staying at the Resort you can go directly out onto the Centennial Trail from the lobby. The Centennial Trail runs from the Washington/Idaho border to Higgins Point on Coeur d%26#39; Alene Lake. Some portions are a separate bike path, other portions require riding on bike lane on city streets. Heading west from the resort you will go through the city park area, Fort Grounds neighborhood, along the Spokane River and through the Riverstone development area after which the trail parallels the Interstate and until you reach the Highway 41 exit. There are some ups and downs on this portion but no major hills. If you go east on the Centennial Trail from the resort you will first bike on the bike lane portion of a city street until you reach Coeur d%26#39; Alene Lake Drive just before the Interstate. From there out to the Higgins Point Boat Launch and Park there is a bike path paralleling the lake shore with restrooms and picnic areas along the route. There is one major hill at Bennett Bay otherwise its flat. The new Coeur d%26#39; Alene visitors center located across Sherman Avenue from the resort should have maps. The other major bike trails in the area are the Trail of the Coeur d%26#39; Alenes which is located well east of the city of Coeur d%26#39; Alene and the Hiawatha Bike Trail located on the Idaho/Montana border, both of which are great trails but are located some distance form Coeur d%26#39; Alene. Fall foliage is out, temperatures aren%26#39;t too cold, lots of rain the last two weeks, hope you have a good time.
