Will be visiting family in Nampa, anything to do? both family and adult (not x rated). What is the weather usually like? Never been any suggestions welcome, sure would hate to waste a 12 hour drive.
thanx,
Spring Break March 17-21
Hi
the weather will probably in the low 60%26#39;s day and 30%26#39;s at night. there should be lots of spring flowers and things starting to green up.
You can golf. bike or walk the greenbelt or visit parks. in Boise.
the will be great spring skiing at Bogus Basin and everywhere else in idaho, you can take a days drive up to Gold fork Hot springs near Tamarack for swim.
there is a ton of snow this year in the mountains.
Nampa is a bedroom community and has the usual resturants and shopping of such
for any culture and a more vibrant downtown you have to go into Boise.
Spring Break March 17-21
We have tickets to the Idaho Steelheads hockey game in Boise during that time slot. It%26#39;s a smaller venue than the hockey you see on television. It%26#39;s really a lot of fun!
You might want to research the Idaho Stampede, which is a professional basketball team. I think they play in the Nampa Center.
Boise has a nice little zoo in town located by a real gem of an art museum. With good weather, it%26#39;s great to spend a day walking in that area.
Good luck finding anything x rated in Idaho! This is a very family-oriented state. I%26#39;m an East Coast transplant, I love it here. We%26#39;re spending our first weekend in Vegas just as you arrive here. I bet the contrast is unbelievable.
Paula, if the weather is good you might look into the World Center for Birds of Prey.

If there are airplane or military buffs in your group, consider the Warhawk museum at the Nampa airport.
Other suggestions above are good.
Jannel, we%26#39;re heading south also that week with a stopoff in Vegas -- beware the porn card pushers and timeshare shills on the Strip!! :)

Thanks for the warning!
My husband gives me an odd look when I tell him I%26#39;m thrilled about taking the kids to Vegas. (He%26#39;s working.) I AM very naive about it, no doubt, but I%26#39;ll be extra careful.
BTW, the Stampede now play in the same arena as the Steelheads. However, they%26#39;re on the road the next two weekends.
I know Bogus has junior ski racing the weekend of the 21st. It may be a little late in ski season, so I%26#39;m not sure those slopes will be that crowded, but with the races, not everything will be available.
