Best route from CDA to Salt Lake City Utah

Hi,

Could you please advise me of the best routes to take from CDA to Salt Lake City, Scenic or Fastest, we will have one night for a stop over.

thank you for the help

Best route from CDA to Salt Lake City Utah

Fastest - from Coeur d%26#39; Alene, Interstate 90 to Butte, Mt.; Interstate 15 to Salt Lake.

My choice for scenic would be: Interstate 90 to Missoula, Mt., south on US93 through the Bitterroot Valley and into Idaho via Salmon, Idaho. Continue south on US93 to Challis and take State Highway 75 to Stanley, Sun Valley, and connecting with Interstate 84 at Twin Falls. Interstate 84 continues into Utah and intesects with Interstate 15. A good one night stop over would be in Stanley in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. This is a summer route, winter route would be better via the Interstate 90 / 15 route. The Bitterroot Valley in Montana has great mountain scenery, at Salmon you will be following the famous Salmon River, and into Stanley you will be in the Sawtooth National Recreation area, some of Idaho%26#39;s best mountain scenery.

I%26#39;ll echo the decision to go through Stanley. Scenic Byways driving both into and out of the area. Beautiful rivers and lakes. Stanley to Salt Lake City is 6 1/2 hours... 3 hours to Twin Falls and another 3 1/2 from Twin to SLC. Take some time to stop at Redfish Lake, 7 miles south of Stanley.

Thank you for the information, we will follow your suggestions and look forward to having a scenic and relaxing drive.
