Sun Valley in December

I%26#39;m from the Northwest, but have never been to Sun Valley....is there skiing at all in early December???

Also, looking for a very high end hotel (money is no object).

Sun Valley in December

We did Sun Valley in early December and had terrific snow.

But, like anywhere it%26#39;s always touch and go that time of year.

We absolutely loved the Sun Valley Lodge. Great beds, friendly

bar staff and a pool that is just heaven---steaming and surrounded by pines. We also bowled, snowshoed and skated right at the lodge. It%26#39;s not a Ritz Carlton if that%26#39;s what you are looking for

but it%26#39;s very historic and atmospheric.

i have lived in SV for the last 30 years...they open the mountain on Thanksgiving and we have a great base already. There are lots of top end places to stay, contact High Country Properties and ask for Pam, tell her that Carla sent you...the # is 208=726-1256. I also have a friend who has a wonderful house, 15 minutes out on a dirt road, from the lifts, that is in a wonderland. She rents a house on the property and it is a magical place. I was just out there yesterday...wish i lived there. It is a 1,200 sq. ft house, i master suite and double sleigh bed downstairs, 2 indoor fireplaces, one outdoors, right on the river, outdoor hot pools (rustic and block built), sat. TV, wood, frig stocked, dinners can be arranged and a massuess...heavens. website croneycove.com let me know!
