Idaho Center

Will you PLEASE recommend a hotel for me? I will be attending a function at the Idaho Center, should I stay in Nampa or Boise? Would prefer a higher end hotel with a nice pool. Thank you.

Idaho Center

That%26#39;s a tough one. Is your function over several days or is it a single event? If you stay in Boise, you%26#39;ll drive against traffic in the morning, but with it if you need to be in Nampa in the mid to late afternoon.

We used to stay at the Grove Hotel in downtown Boise. I just read recent reviews of it and unfortunately, guests there have had similar experiences to what we used to have. It%26#39;s a great location, but offers little else. Yet it%26#39;s said to be the only 4 star hotel in the area.

We have yet to find a hotel in the Boise area that I could recommend. Boise has much to offer -- museums, access to recreational areas, restaurants, shopping -- but I don%26#39;t believe it has a good hospitality industry, yet. Just one person%26#39;s opinion. I hope you find me wrong!

If you are gonna have a car, try the Grove in Boise, or the Hilton Garden Inn in Eagle. Both are about a 1/2 hr. drive to the Idaho Center and have great ameneties and have great dining/drinking establishments within walking distance. The Grove is right downtown, so there will be a ton of clubs, bars, shops, and restaurants. The HGI in Eagle is more scenic an a little lower key, but is connected to Bardenay distillery with good food and open late and it is right on the river. Both hotels are newer and convenient. The Grove downtown will probably give a better Boise experience, though. Do not stay in Nampa.

We always stay at the Ameritel by the mall, great location, great pool and rooms are clean and comfortable. We have also stayed at the Ameritel by the Edwards Movie theater it is nice as well. You can%26#39;t go wrong with Ameritel.

I am at the Idaho Centre Aug 6 (Sunday)for a concert in the evening so traffic should be ok. He%26#39;ll be dropping me off and picking me up at the concert so I thought if we stayed at the closest NICE place it would be best. I think there is a Hampton Inn at the Centre? How big is Nampa/Boise? I had hopes my husband could find a place to golf nearby? Any suggestions? (he is a 10 handicap)

There is nothing to do in Nampa. There is a Hampton Inn Suites at the Idaho Center, but it is surrounded by car dealerships and has NO restaurant options within 2 miles. There is Centennial Golf Cource less than 1/2 mile away from the arena, but also try Banbury GC in Eagle or Quail Hollow in Boise for more scenic play. Do not stay in Nampa. It is only a suburb of Boise and you will be sorely disappointed if you want to do anything other than sleep. Try Ameritel Boise Spectrum or the others mentioned above and you%26#39;ll be OK.

Just moved to the Boise area, however made many, many trips before the house was finished. My best experiences were at the Hilton Garden in Eagle, Statehouse Inn (downtown boise), and the Hilton Garden Spectrum Center. Stay clear of the Owahee. Most hotels are more like motels in Boise. They are currently building a few that look as if they will be a bit nicer, but not much to offer as of yet.

I do believe that my nicest experiences were in Eagle at the Hilton. The room was nice, bed was super comfy, staff was great, and had a room that overlooked the Boise river.

Which of these nice hotels is closest to Idaho Center? I%26#39;ll laze at the pool while hubby golfs, then he%26#39;ll laze in the hot tub while I am at the concert. Its a vacation together but apart!

The Hilton Garden Inn in Eagle is 14 miles away. The Ameritel Inn and Hilton Garden Inn Boise Spectrum are 11 miles away. The one in Eagle is right on the river and only a mile away from golf at Banbury(very nice course). The hotels at the Spectrum are right on the premises of a 21 screen movie theater and about a dozen restaurants. The restaurants include seafood, Italian, barbecue, Hawaiian, 2 Mexican places, a buffet, Cracker Barrel, philly cheesesteaks, and a huge sports bar called Sports Pub %26amp; Grill. Hi jlocole,

I will definately agree with previous posts. Go with the Hilton in Eagle or Ameritels in Boise. The Grove Hotel is nice also. Do NOT stay in Nampa. I think you will find Eagle very charming with all the nice restaurants, shops and coffee houses plus the Golf Courses are nearby (Banbury and Plantation and look into Crane Creek as well).

Us Boiseans want you to leave with a good impression of our happy little city and you won%26#39;t get that in Nampa.

Good luck and I hope you love your concert! Is it Outdoor or Indoor?

The Great Tim McGraw and Faith Hill - indooors, row 4 on the FLOOR? Who cares where I sleep!
