Home Hotel and Motel -- Worst night of sleep

We paid $60 for the night at the Home Hotel and Motel. There is a tub, but no shower. There is a refrigerator in the room but makes a loud buzzing sound -- very disruptive to sleep. But, the worst was when the owners turned the room AC off in the middle of the night. It is summer and still hot in the evenings. When we called 3 in the morning, we were told that another room made a complaint about our room so the AC was turned off. Not sure what the complaint was about as we spent literally 20 minutes in the room before falling asleep, and there were still about 10 kids running around in the parking lot. BUT even if someone DID complain mistakenly, shouldn%26#39;t the owner call the room? Is turning off the room AC some sort of weird small town punishment? When I asked about the complaint in the morning, she came up with another story about faulty wiring. Can锟斤拷锟絫 say that锟斤拷锟絪 anymore reassuring.

We stay at the home hotel 4 or more times a year The trick is to make your reservations early and ask for the hotel ! You need to reserve at least 3 weeks ahead to

get a room on the top floor. There is only 6 rooms each has a very large tub. The tub is big enough for two and a even a child or two if you are a family. These rooms are all so more quite. Best on the west side.

The owner and staff have always been very helpful and friendly. The rooms are also roomy

If you are looking for a hotel with that is perfect with all the perks pass Lava and go to a bigger city but if you want to relax and enjoy a small town, friendy people and some great relaxation the Lava Home Hotel is the Place to stay

You might want to stay at the Lava Hot Springs Inn next time.

When my husband and i got married, we decided to go on a short homeymoon. we ended up staying in the Home Hotel in Lava Hot Springs and we really enjoyed our stay. perhaps it was because we were honeymooners or it was before the tourist season, but we had a nice time. we got a room on the top floor and we were the only people in the hotel. the staff were great and advised us where and where not to visit in their town. granted, the town of Lava is not the most exciting of places and all the resturants and eating establishments were closed for the season so we ended up traveling the 30 miles to Pocatello to eat, it was still a good nights rest. i would definatly stay there again
